WATCH: Donald Cerrone confronts Khabib Nurmagomedov’s manager over controversial tweets

Not happy, one bit

Frankie Edgar did not look overly eager to step in as peacemaker.

Donald Cerrone got a chance to clear the air with Khabib Nurmagomedov’s manager Ali Abdel-Aziz before UFC 197.

‘Cowboy’ offered to step up and fight the Russian at UFC on FOX 19, a fortnight back, after Tony Ferguson’s injury only for Dana White to give in to his second thoughts.

‘The Eagle’ ended up fighting newcomer Darrell Horcher and defeating him over two rounds. That was not before he took to Twitter to accuse Cerrone of backing out of the fight.

Cerrone was in Las Vegas for UFC 197, last weekend, and ran into Abdel-Aziz, who manages Nurmagomedov and Edgar. So went their confrontation [from 2:15 in the video below]:

Cerrone: Keep tweeting me from your boy Khabib’s [Twitter] account.

Abdel-Aziz: What? Why does everyone say that?

Cerrone: Because it is you, and every time I write I think ‘I’m going to f*** Ali up’.

Abdel-Aziz: Why does everyone think it is me [tweeting]?

Cerrone: Because it is you.

Abdel-Aziz: No. Khabib’s obsessed over it… You know what he does? He uses a Russian-English dictionary and he translates.

Cerrone was not exactly satisfied with the exchange but the pair left on good terms.

The next Twitter exchange will be interesting to see.
