As clean a KO as you’ll ever see
Thiago Santos lived up to his ‘Sledgehammer’ nickname with an awesome knockout of Steve Bosse at the UFC’s Fight Night 70 in Florida last night.
The Brazilian ended the middleweight contest after just 29 seconds thanks to a crushing kick to the side of Bosse’s head that sent the Canadian crumpling to the floor of the octagon.

There was also a huge win in the same division for Cuba’s Yoel Romero, who elbowed his way into the upper echelon of middleweight fighters with a devastating victory over Lyoto Machida in the main event.
Romero matched the more experienced Brazilian before scoring a takedown in the third round and ending the fight with a cascade of elbows.
He then offered up a bizarre post-fight interview:
Romero later cleared up his ‘USA, what happened to you?’ comments and insisted it had nothing to do with America legalising gay marriage in all 50 States.
He commented: ‘I will tell you guys something, God made man to be free. Anybody can do whatever they want. I wouldn’t be the type of person to critique anybody. I have to look at myself first, and be a better person, to love people.’
