Freddie Roach predicts that Nate Diaz’s hand will be raised yet again at the end of UFC 200’s main event.
Roach knows a thing or two about combat sports having worked with the elite pugilists such as Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto and Oscar de la Hoya as well as mixed martial artists Dan Hardy and, arguably the best of them all, Georges St-Pierre.
Speaking to Fight Hype, the Massachusetts native proclaimed his admiration for featherweight champion Conor McGregor. Roach praised the Notorious for his charisma and his marketability, but acknowledged his exceptional abilities as a fighter as well. Despite this, however, he is leaning towards Diaz getting the victory at the landmark event in July.
“He sells well…he’s funny…he’s entertaining…he talks shit, but he tries to back it up…the weight will help him a little bit, but the rematch, I still like Diaz to win.”
