If Conor McGregor beats Jose Aldo, it looks like his next bout will be in Croke Park.
Dana White has made every MMA fan in the country extremely excited. In a recent interview with Setanta Ireland, the UFC president revealed that he has every intention of holding another  UFC card on Irish shores only this time it will be a little bit more special.
“We want to do Croke Park, we really do. If this kid (Conor McGregor) wins that title, we want his first defence to be in Croke Park. If Conor wins that title, it’s going to be crazy.”
White added that he has been completely taken off guard with the Notorious’ meteoric rise to the zenith of the promotion.
McGregor has been handed a UFC title shot after just four fights in the promotion, and he has yet to take on any fighter ranked among the top four in the featherweight division. White added that his quick ascension through the ranks could be an indication that he is set to do great things in MMA.
“How quickly and easily he has done this. He has the potential to be great. Nobody has come from obscurity to a massive superstar the way Conor McGregor has.”
Despite getting everyone’s hopes up with his comments about Croker, Whjite then brought everyone back down to reality with two brief sentences.
“It’s tougher to get things done in Dublin than I thought it would be. They have curfews and restrictions, it’s tough to navigate through here.”
If McGregor does claim that coveted strap and his first defence isn’t in Croke Park, expect the Irish combat sports/country western enthusiasts to start tearing up their Garth Brooks posters through floods of tears.
