There are essentially two camps that fighters fall into when it comes to CM Punk and his debut defeat to Mickey Gall.
They were torn between ‘serves him right for taking our profession so lightly’ and ‘fair play to him for following his dreams’.
And reigning UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor, in spite of all his trash-talk of WWE superstars, falls into the latter category.

In the wake of Punk’s first round submission defeat to Gall at UFC 203, McGregor was asked for his opinion on the match-up.
“I’ll tell you what… fair play to him,” McGregor told TMZ Sports.
“Because he got in there and fought and not a lot of people do. Not a lot of people have the balls to make that walk so fair play to him.
“He got his ass whooped. God bless he got his ass whooped. Those WWE guys are straight pussies, I told you all, but he isn’t. He got in there and fought so fair play to him. Respect!”
We couldn’t agree more.
