And it won’t be in Croke Park.
Victors are rarely allowed rest on their laurels in the UFC and Conor McGregor is no different.
The new, interim featherweight champion spoke, post-fight, about the injuries he had to deal with in the lead-up to his Las Vegas fight.
‘I prepared for this fight in the physiotherapists’ room,’ he told reporters.
If McGregor is carrying a knee injury, as has been suggested in recent weeks, he may not get to fight Jose Aldo until early next year. The Brazilian will, reportedly, not be fully fit from his rib injury until October.
UFC chief executive Lorenzo Fertitta shed some light on the current situation and when a unification bout between Aldo and McGregor might take place.
UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta: Probably Jan. 2 (for Aldo/McGregor), but that's not set in stone. We have MGM (Vegas) reserved on Jan. 2."

If McGregor wants to get Aldo to Croke Park, it will have to be a rematch.
UFC president Dana White told reporters that a big Dublin date is on the cards but Aldo must first be overcome.
