Josh Barnett was one of the other UFC stars forced to take a back-seat at the ‘Go Big’ event in Las Vegas.
Star of the UFC showcase was undoubtedly Conor McGregor.
His main target was Jose Aldo Junior but just about every male fighter on-stage felt McGregor’s acerbic fire.
Barnett, who fights at UFC Fight Night 75, in Japan, this weekend, was spared but the Irishman’s bravura antics did not go down too well.
Barnett told MMA Hour, “He ends up burying a lot of folks. It’s crazy; he’s sitting there talking about ‘Oh Jose Aldo, you came over here and were given your championship’ and all that.
“Right over there is Ronda Rousey, who was just given her championship. Just insulting the shit out of her at the same time.
“He drops her as he’s trying to drop a bomb on Jose.”
Barnett also takes a pop at some of McGregor’s fans who say “any inane, obnoxious stuff that come into their head”.
