It might not be a lot of information but dammit, we’re desperate and will cling onto anything right now.
Dana White offered some vague hope that there is a positive update on the way for UFC 189 as he tweeted out a smiley face this evening.
The cryptic tweet could mean nothing but the fact that the boss man seems happy would lead one to believe that things just might work out after reports yesterday that Jose Aldo had fractured a rib and could be forced out of July’s title fight with Conor McGregor.

White seemed composed last night while his Twitter account was bombarded by worried fight fans that the biggest featherweight title fight in MMA history had been scrapped.
Relax everyone

Whether the positivity means that Aldo’s been cleared to fight or whether the UFC have found a replacement remains to be seen but we’re a little bit calmer now.
We’d still love a bit more information, all the same.
