It’s just a statistic.
Stats, figures and facts tend to go out the window when two fighters start throwing leather but we can kind of see why fight fans are a little bit disappointed about the lack of ranked fighters on the main card of UFC Dublin.
No weight division’s title picture will likely become any clearer with the four fights that close out the UFC’s return to Dublin.
Neil Seery v Jon Delos Reyes, Nicolas Dalby v Darren Till and Norman Parke v Reza Madadi fill out the main card before Paddy Holohan v Louis Smolka puts a stamp on proceedings.
Unfortunately, none of those eight names feature in the UFC’s top 15 rankings in their respective weight divisions which sets a pretty unwanted record for the promotion.
UFC Fight Night 76 in Dublin will be the first main card with ZERO ranked fighters since UFC launched its official rankings in Feb. 2013.
