The Notorious emphatically responds to stories of Conor McGregor Inc. and Dana White falling out

One is real, the other is “horse shit”.

Conor McGregor insists he is in the UFC for a good time, a successful time and a well-paid time. He is not here for a long time.

The Notorious has brought in so much revenue in his two and a half years in the UFC that he could probably retire to a life of comfort and cruisers today. Instead, he has his eyes on making history in the world of mixed martial arts.

McGregor has, pretty much, had it all his own way since arriving in the promotion. The only real frustration has been his inability, as yet, to secure a hometown fight at Croke Park.

It was this itch that MMA journalist Jeremy Botter attempted to scratch, earlier this year, when he claimed McGregor had established Conor McGregor Inc. and was intent on leaving the UFC to promote his own fights in the near future. The first part is true – papers were filed for the incorporated company last year.

Dana White was said to be ‘frozen out’ of the process but the UFC president responded by calling bullshit and declaring Botter was ‘a scumbag looking for clicks’.

Now, in a wide-ranging interview with SevereMMA, McGregor has fully addressed the breakaway rumours. He declared:

“That’s all horseshit, that is.

“I have a great relationship with Lorenzo and a great relationship with Dana.”

“Don’t get me wrong, I’m climbing that corporate ladder every damn day and we will be neck and neck.

“Maybe somewhere along the line I will take that lions share. But we will always be together. Loyalty is what I have. They gave me this, they are helping me with this and I am helping them, we are a team, so much respect to Dana, much respect to Lorenzo, much respect to everyone involved in the UFC.

“I’m not trying to break out, I’m just trying to grow, be eye-to-eye and get my share of the fucking pie and that’s it and they know that.

“I will always be in association with Zuffa and the great team at the UFC, it’s an honour to grow with this company.”
