The largest seller of guns in America refuses to sell Ronda Rousey’s book because it’s “too violent”

Strange logic

Number of people killed by Ronda Rousey: none. Number of people killed by guns: too many to count.

US megastore chain Wal-Mart have got every MMA fan scratching their heads this week.

You might be able to walk in to any Wal-Mart and purchase deadly firearms with ammunition, and hell, a silencer if you’re feeling up to it, but you won’t be able to buy a book about a martial artist.

The corporation’s big wigs announced this week that they would not be stocking UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey’s upcoming book, which is scheduled to be released on 12th May.

The store, which is the biggest seller of guns and ammunition in the US, claim that the book is simply too violent for them to sell with a clear conscious. You can, however, pre-order Rousey’s book on the Wal-Mart’s website. Go figure.

In Wal-Mart’s defense, book-related fatalities have been on the up in the last quarter.
