Never ever drink and drive… and give a running commentary about it on social media.
There was some strange activity on Stephan Bonnar’s Twitter account today. The mixed martial artist, who is best known for losing to Forrest Griffin in arguably the greatest ever fight in UFC history back in 2005, liveblogged what appeared to be him getting let off by the cops for drink-driving.
If it’s true, it really tarnishes the reputation of the Bellator fighter. If it’s some sort of elaborate practical joke, it’s really not very funny at all.
According to the tweets, Bonnar was pulled over for texting while behind the wheel and then admitted to the policeman that he had a few drinks on him before driving. According to the man himself, he was let off the hook by the officer. We sincerely hope that we’ve all been fooled by some sort of prank and the fighter did not put lives in danger today.

Bonnar has been back on Twitter and claims his tweets were a re-telling of a story that happened to him in college. He kicked off his explanation with ‘April fools’ and followed with these Tweets:
Completely true story..told it last night to friends and got a hoot. Thought I can re tell it through Twitter as if it's playing out (1/2)
