Stop claiming Conor McGregor as your own, America, he’s our interim UFC featherweight champion!
For the second time this week, the UFC have made an absolute balls of Conor McGregor’s nationality.
First. it was the always super-accurate Reebok fight kit that caused controversy. A fan who purchased a Conor McGregor hoodie earlier this week only to discover that a massive USA emblem was emblazoned on the arm.
A disappointed fan just sent me this. Reebok gonna Reebok. Does every jacket have a big USA on the side of it? pic.twitter.com/vCqqkAKHwJ

On Saturday night, they tried to claim him as an American again, but in a slightly more subtle way.
During the coverage of UFC Seoul, there was heavy promotion for McGregor’s upcoming title fight against Jose Aldo at UFC 194. “A Nation Awaits” was the slogan for one of the promos… wrong nation, lads.
