For those of you who think that that Conor McGregor’s trash-talk and brashness came about just since he became famous, maybe you need to rethink your opinion.
Some of the curious folk on reddit have done some digging and found McGregor’s old Boards.ie account and his first post is something that you’d hear in any of The Notorious’ post-fight interviews in 2015.
It features a response to a call from Conor Dillon for a rematch with McGregor after Dillon couldn’t continue in their 2010 fight due to a broken foot.
McGregor took the absolute piss out of Dillon and the fact that he loved hip-hop, suggesting a “winner takes the loser’s 2pac posters” fight with Chris Stringer.
The UFC featherweight challenger also predicted that he’d take the Cage Warriors world title as he mocked the then-champion Paul McVeigh.
And to be fair to one perspicacious poster, he managed to foresee that McGregor wouldn’t just dominate the European scene but would one day be at the top of the pile in the UFC.
