The Brazilian featherweight was absolutely steamrolled by Mirsad Bektic on the undercard of UFC Fight Night 67 last night.
Martins looked every bit the late replacement when the relentless ground-and-pound of the undefeated Bektic led to the referee waving the fight off at 30 seconds of the middle round.

As if the odds weren’t stacked against him enough by facing the daunting prospect of Bektic on short notice, it was revealed after the fight that Mineiro had had his eyebrow replaced with a stomach-churning gash only 10 days before the fight.
Fair play to the gutsy 26-year-old for going ahead with the fight but, Jaysus, that’s enough turn you off Sunday dinner.
