It’s good to know that Jon Jones hasn’t changed his stance on deleting social media posts anyway.
Arguably the greatest fighter on planet Earth couldn’t let the news of Daniel Cormier withdrawing from their rematch with injury pass him by without taunting the current belt holder.
To promote UFC 197, both fighters took part in a Counterpunch special, which involved the two of them talking endless trash about one another while Joe Rogan sat between them wearing an Onnit t-shirt, occasionally asking them questions.
During the special, Cormier said to Jones’ face that he was “willing to die” to beat him inside the Octagon. Well, guess which quote Jones decided to throw back in his face after he pulled out?
Jones quickly deleted the tweet and but left his much classier response in which he almost appeared to be sympathetic towards DC, wishing his rival a swift return to competition.
I don't wish injuries on anyone, I hope you have a healthy recovery Daniel. Enjoy that belt

Meanwhile, Cormier has issued an apology to the fans and number six-ranked light heavyweight Ovince Saint Preux has stepped in to take on Bones in UFC 197’s main event.
