Earlier this year Cathal Pendred promised that he would take a break from MMA and try and work on his stand up ability.
The Irishman suffered a devastating loss to Tom Breese at UFC Dublin last month, and it seems that the welterweight is true to his word from earlier this summer that he is looking to start a boxing career judging by pictures emerging from America
Had the pleasure of meeting @Pendred today @Gloveworx. Now I just need him back to #TrainWithWayne 😉 pic.twitter.com/gFyP7L1cAg

Wayne McCullough is an Irish boxing legend having won a silver medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and has previously expressed his admiration for UFC fighters.
Pendred could certainly do worse than link up with the Ulsterman.
@WayneMcCullough @Gloveworx The pleasure was mine Champ. Can't wait to get some work in.

Pendred reached out to the Irish boxer during the summer and now it seems as if the two men are going to be working closely together in the coming months.
I'd be there in a heartbeat 👊 RT @Pendred: .@WayneMcCullough Good man Wayne. Maybe I could have you in my corner. 😉
