Fingernails all over Ireland will be bitten to smithereens when Conor McGregor finally gets his chance to bring UFC gold back home.
But one Dublin household will be a tad more nervous than most after a confident McGregor fan has placed a giant bet on the Irish featherweight taking out current champion Jose Aldo in July.
The unnamed bettor filled out his docket at a BoyleSports in Dublin City and, while the bookmakers wouldn’t confirm the exact amount, it’s understood to be at least €10,000
Liam Glynn, PR Executive at BoyleSports, revealed the wager.
“Punters cannot get enough of Conor McGregor ahead of his world title fight with Jose Aldo in July with the latest big bet seeing a five figure wager placed on McGregor at 21/20.”
We all love a punt on the MMA but, Good Lord, this scares the bejaysus out of us.
