It will have been almost 18 months, but Minotauro Nogueira will be back in the octagon in August.
The Brazilian former UFC Heavyweight champion, now 38, hasn’t fought since KO defeat to Roy Nelson in April 2014.
But the UFC announced this morning that the legend will now face off against the 15 ranked Stefan Struve in Rio on August 1, as part of the UFC 190 event.

Both fighters are coming off the back of successive defeats, but while Dutchman Strive had won his four previous fights, the ageing Nogueira has lost five of his last eight.
The main event of UFC 190 will be the women’s bantamweight title fight between Ronday Rousey and Bethe Correia and also features the highly-anticipated rematch between Mauricio Rua and Minotauro’s twin brother Rogerio Nogueira.
