Jose Aldo’s coach is very confident his man will beat Conor McGregor

Andre Pederneiras reckons it won't even go to the judges

The big fight is a while away but the champ’s coach is sure his man will win

Between now and fight night on July 11 we are going to hear a lot of talk from both sides of the Jose Aldo/Conor McGregor divide. Normally, Aldo and his team are quiet enough before big bouts but as they are facing the king of pre-fight hype and chat, it looks like they are upping their game.

Yesterday we learned about a world tour to promote the fight that kicks off later this week that both men will attend, so we are guaranteed almost a two-week’s worth of quotes from that alone.

But even before that, Aldo’s coach Andre Pederneiras has been talking to Sherdog. Among other things, Aldo’s chances against McGregor, of course, came up and Paderneiras was very bullish about his man’s chances.

When asked about a possible size advantage for McGregor, Paderneiras was dismissive of that factor.

‘Aldo is much faster than him,’ said the coach. ‘I know who will win this fight and McGregor knows too.’

When pressed on the manner of victory, Paderneiras was also very confident, declaring that it wouldn’t go the distance and that his man would win by submission or KO.
