But if you’re an MMA fighter set to appear at UFC 195, you’re bang out of luck as the event is due to take place on the second day of 2016.
Joe Duffy was due to fight Dustin Poirer at the UFC Dublin event, last week, in the 3Arena but the Irishman pulled out due to concussive injury.
It was announced last night that the fight will now take place in Las Vegas as part of a UFC 195 card that will also feature Robbie Lawler.
However, Duffy has one tiny, very Irish problem with the date:
