Now that Aldo is on American soil and more confident than ever that he will end a year of taunts from Conor McGregor.
The 29-year-old featherweight champion taunted McGregor before and after his flight to the USA.
While he was back in Brazil, Aldo told reporters he would beat the interim champion but would not be held on a specific round.
He added, “Anyone who wants to earn money, bet on Aldo. It will be the easiest money of your life.”
In an interview with Fight Magazine, on Tuesday, Aldo was asked about being the underdog for the bout. He is currently at Evens in the Las Vegas markets and 11/10 in Ireland. McGregor is 4/5 [USA] and 8/11 [Ireland].
Piqued by the bookies persistence in sticking with the McGregor, Aldo decided to give a round in which his victory would arrive.
“Bet on me. The fight won’t go past the first round.
“I am going in with everything. I will be the only man left standing. I will win.
“I respect all athletes but, no matter where the fight goes, I will win. I’m faster on foot and stronger on the ground. The advantage is mine, wherever the duel goes.”
