Brendan Schaub has a lot of faith in Conor McGregor not being completely outclassed by Floyd Mayweather.
There are a few exceptions, but the general consensus is that Conor McGregor only has a puncher’s chance of upsetting Floyd Mayweather. While the ‘anything can happen’ mentality is there, most people think that the most likely outcome is the professional boxer having his hand raised.
Few give McGregor any hope of doing any real damage to arguably the greatest defensive tactician in the history of pugilism, but former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub believes ‘the Notorious’ will turn some heads with his performance.
Not only does he feel McGregor will land on ‘Money,’ but he’s also putting money on him nicking a round.

Schaub explained on the Big Brown Breakdown that he was inspired to put $100,000 on McGregor winning at least one round with Max Kellerman, after the boxing commentator suggested the UFC star would not be able to land a punch.
“I bet Max Kellerman $100,000 that Conor McGregor wins a round and will touch him. Obviously, the touch him one’s a joke, but he will win a round, people will be surprised.”
When asked why he feels McGregor’s has the tools to take a round against the undefeated prizefighter, Schaub didn’t hesitate with his response.
“He’s going to be so much longer, his jab’s going to land early on, from so many different angles.”
“I’m not saying he’s going to out-jab the fuck out of him. He’s going to land some jabs. Floyd is going to adjust quick. Floyd’s going to be like, ‘Oh fuck, I didn’t realise he was going to be that quick!'”
“He’s going to bully him the way Maidana did. He’s going to bully him for a little bit.”
When the fight is as ridiculous as this, no prediction seems all that bizarre. Will have to wait and see if McGregor makes Schaub 100 Gs richer on August 26.
