Dillon Danis taunted with painful Conor McGregor impression following defeat

Maybe he should apologise...

Dillon Danis, the self-proclaimed superstar of Bellator, was bested on Saturday night.

In the main event of Polaris 5 in London, Dillon Danis lost his high-profile rematch to decorated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Garry Tonon.

Tonon pushed the pace throughout the bout and was constantly on the attack. He kept threatening with the takedowns which forced Danis to sprawl and fight defensively multiple times.

There was a lot of back-and-forth on social media between these two warriors in the build-up to this fight, which Tonon referenced during his victory speech. ‘The Lion Killer’ grabbed hold of the mic to attempt a Conor McGregor impersonation that earned a smile from the SBG star’s training partner.

“There was a lot of social media banter in the lead-up to this match, and I’d just like to say to Dillon, I apologise for absolutely fucking nothing,”

In Tonon’s defence, the McGregor mimicking was all in jest and Danis took it well. After getting the gag out of the way, he had some kind words to say about Danis’ performance.

“He did much better than the previous fight. I didn’t submit him so there isn’t a real clear winner in my opinion. I felt like I was able to get off some attacks, but not close enough to finish.”

MAybe he should apologise… for that woeful McGregor impression.
