How has Darren Till celebrated his breakthrough performance in Gdansk, you ask? By eating, it seems.
Having never fought in America before, not many MMA fans in that market had heard of Darren Till. However, that all changed once the Liverpudlian seized his chance to shine with both hands by brutally knocking out fan-favourite Donald Cerrone in Gdansk.
After the fight, Till claimed that he was so heavy in the Octagon that night that weight cutting should be illegal for him. As he explained on Monday’s MMA Hour, he’s put on a few more pounds since.
“I reckon about 94, 95 kilos. 200 lbs is 90, so that’s 210 (or) 215.”

Considering that he tipped the scales at 170 lbs, this is a huge amount of weight to gain in such a short amount of time. However, it’s no secret how he’s managed this feat.
“I haven’t stopped eating. I’m trying everything… I had a bunch of food in Tick Tock Diner. I ordered three plates of food. I ordered a pastrami burger, I ordered pancakes and I ordered steak and eggs. Then we were walking past Chipotle and I was like, ‘I want a Chipotle,’ and I was like, ‘I want donuts.’ I want this and I want that.”
Fans need not worry though, he’s not planning a move up to light heavyweight. He assured everyone that this is just what he does the week after a fight. It will be business (and normal diet) as usual when he goes back to the gym on Monday.
