Dana White threatens to sue Manny Pacquiao if he takes Conor McGregor interest further

The foot is firmly down

There’s not a whole lot to these Manny Pacquiao vs Conor McGregor rumours.

After seeing how much of a global event ‘the Money Fight’ became, it seems as though Manny Pacquiao is attempting to get some buzz around a potential boxing bout with Conor McGregor.

The ‘Pac-Man’ was incredibly vague on the matter during a recent interview with AFP. The legendary pugilist claimed that both camps had been in contact with each other, but really skipped on the details.

“Initially, but we have not yet had any follow-up conversations… If we can negotiate it, I have no problem. It is OK with both of us.”

Then, of course, there was that Thanksgiving Day tweet that went viral.

A fight against the other half of 2015’s Fight of the Century would have its pros and its cons for the UFC. While another huge payday with mainstream exposure would come their way, it would mean that their most populated division would be held up even longer because of an absentee champion.

Dana White clearly wants his biggest ever star back inside the Octagon. If Pacquiao opens up negotiations with McGregor, he can expect a lawsuit coming his way, as White explained at the UFC Fresno post-fight press conference.

“That would be weird because he’s under contract with us. If that’s true, I will be suing Manny Pacquiao and whoever’s representing him. So… I’m assuming that’s not true.”

That’s the end of that so.
