The top UFC featherweight is extremely bitter about Conor McGregor hogging the limelight
Swanson, who recently lost to one of the Jonas brothers on the TV show Kingdom, is very upset over the hype train surrounding the Irish UFC superstar.
McGregor has been doing a series of interviews today for behemoth American broadcasters ESPN ahead of his fight against Dennis Siver at UFC Boston. Perhaps Cubby Bear switched over the channel at the wrong time because he seems to have rekindled his hatred for the Notorious.
Swanson defeated Siver via third-round TKO at UFC 163 in 2013. However, rather than receiving a headline slot, the bout kicked off the main card proceedings for the event and received significantly less media coverage than the Boston fight.

McGregor has addressed Swanson's extreme bitterness on Twitter before. In December, he wished the American well, hoping that he could overcome his rage with an incredibly patronising tweet. Swanson foolishly rose to the Dubliner's goading and let loose with a vow that he will defeat him before dishing out an insult.

Their intense feud might have began when McGregor called out Swanson for his uncanny resemblance to one of Springfield's more beloved 31-year-olds.

To be fair, Old man Swanson was actually a year younger than Moleman when McGregor made the initial comparison.
