Conor McGregor should steer clear of Stockton after press conference remark, according to Andre Berto

Some wise advice

Darragh Murphy

Conor McGregor doesn’t have many friends in the boxing world but Andre Berto is certainly one.

‘The Notorious’ and Berto share a genial friendship, with the boxer backing McGregor to quickly rebound from his defeat to Nate Diaz at UFC 196 and McGregor offering a congratulatory phonecall to Berto after his recent victory over Victor Ortiz.

So there is definitely some mutual respect between the fighters.

But Berto has a word of warning for his MMA buddy as he has alerted McGregor that he may want to avoid any trips to Stockton in the near future.

McGregor will have few friends remaining in Stockton, the hometown of rival Diaz, after the Irishman mocked Diaz’s team by calling them “crackhead eses,” during a press conference on Wednesday night.

And, speaking to TMZ Sports, Berto advised ‘The Notorious’ to steer clear of the California city if he cares about his safety.

“He better never go to Stockton talking that shit,” Berto said.

We can’t say we disagree with the advice.
