Conor McGregor makes anonymous donation to help five-year-old’s battle with Sepsis

Former UFC Lightweight and Featherweight champion Conor McGregor has made an anonymous €10,000 donation to help five-year-old Drogheda boy Bryan Buckley in his battle with sepsis.

Buckley’s mother Grainne McCullough set up a GoFundMe page in July to try and raise €10,000 for her son so that he could receive private care to treat his condition after apparent delays with the HSE.

According to McCullough, Buckley cannot walk, talk or eat and has to be fed through a tube with the €10,000 to be used to try and see if they can get the tube attached to his stomach instead of his nose.

An anonymous €10,000 donation was made on Thursday with McCullough later identifying the source as McGregor who will be taking on the undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov in his return to the Octagon at UFC 229 in Las Vegas on October 6th.

Last week McGregor donated two UFC 229 tickets to the Inner City Helping Homeless charity as part of their auction to raise funds for the ICHH, who offer a 7 day advocacy service assisting homeless individuals and families and educating them on how to navigate through homelessness.

Over 3,000 children are now homeless in Ireland and ICHH have stepped in on numerous occasions and accommodated families that were left with nowhere to go.
