Conor McGregor vigorously denying ‘accusations of misconduct’ after being interviewed by French police

Conor McGregor has been arrested for alleged indecent exposure on the French island of Corsica, according to the AFP news agency.

McGregor had reportedly been in the area for several weeks while training for a 180 kilometre voyage to raise awareness of water safety.

The Dubliner last fought in the UFC in January against Donald Cerrone before retiring for the third time in three years later in the year.

A statement from the prosecutor’s office attained by AFP reads:

“Following a complaint filed on September 10 denouncing acts that could be described as attempted sexual exhibition, Mr. Conor Anthony Mac Gregor was the subject of a hearing by the gendarmerie services.”

A representative of the fighter told TMZ did confirm that the 31-year-old was interviewed by authorities and has since been released. The short statement reads:

‘Conor McGregor vigorously denies any accusations of misconduct. He has been interviewed and released.’
