Marc Diakiese might just be 23 years old, but he’s already carving out a reputation for himself as a one of the most dangerous knockout artists in the business.
The Doncaster fighter was 8-0-0 (3 KOs) going into Saturday’s Lonsdale British Lightweight Championship fight at BAMMA 25, but the bout with Kane Mousah was over in a flash.
Mousah was unbeaten before the fight, taking a 7-0-0 record to Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena, but he was no match for Diakiese.
The youngster, who scored a 24-second knockout against Rick Selvarajah at BAMMA 22 in Dublin, landed a huge overhand right early in the first round to ensure another short night’s work.
No description can really do justice to the speed with which the bout goes from two fighters getting a feel for things to the referee pulling them apart. You just have to watch.
