Bad news for anyone hoping to see a Georges St-Pierre comeback

Another super-fight out the window

It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost two years since we last saw Georges St-Pierre in the octagon.

And that fight, a split decision victory over Johny Hendricks, is looking like the last memory in the Canadian legend’s mixed martial arts career.

While GSP maintained a ridiculous training regime since vacating his welterweight title and taking some time off from fighting, the likelihood of a return to the UFC has been all but ruled out by Dana White.

“I don’t think so, buddy. I’m sorry,” White answered during a Q&A session with fans in Melbourne, Australia.

Rush fans had continued to hold out hope that St-Pierre, who many consider the greatest of all time, would return to cement his reputation as the best welterweight in MMA history but the boss man just can’t see it happening.

“In this sport you have to be hungry, you have to jump out of bed every day and want it, you got to want to win. You’ve got to want to be a world champion. He’s had it. He’s accomplished all that stuff,” White added.

“He’s made a lot of money, he’s accomplished a lot of things, and I don’t see him ever coming back, no.”

So there goes any hope of seeing a GSP v Anderson Silva super-fight at UFC 200.
