Video: Incredibly tense POV footage shows Irish jockey fall at Aintree

Fascinating

The mighty GoPro strikes again.

Irish jockey Aidan Coleman wore a camera during the Topham Chase at Aintree and recorded some remarkable footage of the race.

Coleman, riding on Bennys Mist, was approaching a fence when a rogue horse cut in front of him, ruining the jump.

The camera caught the subsequent fall from a perspective that is rarely seen by non-jockeys. The resulting footage is extremely fascinating.

The clip also follows what happened to Coleman directly after the fall, where he lied prone out of harm’s way of the jumping horses or any stragglers before going over to make sure his mount was ok.
