Last of the summer races
The final race day of Summer Sounds at The Curragh, takes place on Friday, 31 August, complete with racing and live music. The first race is at 4.20pm, with some great live music from 2FM DJ Bláthnaid Treacy to kick things up a notch after the last horse has crossed the finish line.
The biggest race of the afternoon will be at 5.20 pm, with eight set to compete for the Irish EBF Supporting ICW Premier Nursery. There will be a total of eight races throughout the day, and the last one is set for 7.50 pm.
You can expect good food and even better company, with plenty of chances for a flutter or two. The iconic racecourse is the place to be this Friday, so fingers crossed the weather stays good too!
Just for buying a ticket to the race day, you’ll also get free admission to Studio One. Kildare’s newest nightlife venue will have you sorted for the rest of the night!
It’s only a 40-minute drive from Dublin, so getting to the Curragh couldn’t be much easier. If you’re going by public transport, there are regular coach and train services from Dublin, or you can opt for a shuttle bus from Kildare town.
