The third day of Royal Ascot is ready to get into full swing.

The first two days at Ascot were full of glamour, glitz and equestrian prowess and here’s hoping that day three is no different.

Hayley O’Connor from Ladbrokes has been at the festival for the past two days and has her top tips for Thursday’s races.

In the first race of the day, O’Connor is backing Nine Below Zero to reign supreme at the Norfolk Stakes after impressing in 2017.

In the 3.40 O’Connor has gone for an Irish winner, picking Naughty or Nice to be the victor.

And in the most important race of the day, the Ascot Gold Cup at 16:20, O’Connor has chosen Simple Verse. Order St George is the heavy favourite but O’Connor believes that Simple Verse may have enough to cause an upset having won big before at the St Leger Stakes in 2015.
