Shane Lowry illustrated exactly why more sports stars aren’t mic’d up on Sunday.
Lowry is taking part in the Honda Classic at the moment and one of his shots has been doing the rounds online for all the wrong reasons.
The Clara native fell victim to the infamous bear trap in Palm Beach where his wayward shot found nothing but the drink. Directly after striking the ball, the cameras picked up Lowry dropping the f-bomb in frustration over the missing the mark with his effort.
Lowry was heard uttering, “Fuckin’ idiot” as his ball sailed straight into the water. Afterwards, NBC apologised to America for the unexpected bad language.
