It’s hand down the most annoying thing about golf.
You can complain all you want about it being a game of respect or some nonsense like that but by far the most offensive thing about those guys who shout out something just as a golfer hits their tee-shot is that they are never, ever, funny.
Never. Not once.
It began with ‘Get in the Hole’ but even that moronic uttering seems slightly quaint now as every fool a little bit tipsy on overpriced beer attempts to get a laugh from their mates with a ‘hilarious’ comment as the ball sails away from tee.
People are even using it for marketing purposes now, for God’s sake.
Some guy just shouted 'https://t.co/490dWGz9VF, get it baby' as McIlroy hit his putt.. Now that's marketing at it's best!

Graeme McDowell was having a tough time on Friday’s second round of the US PGA. He had a tough time on Thursday too.
Eventually he missed the cut – missed it by a long way. He was nine-over for the two round and will watch the rest of the weekend on TV (if he can be bothered).
It was unsurprising then that McDowell had little tolerance for the muppet who shouted ‘Baba-booey’ after he hit a tee-shot.
His response is beautiful.

“Baba-fucking-booey”. You said it Graeme. You said it.
