We can’t all be Graeme McDowell.
Whilst the Northern Irish man is tearing it up in the HSBC Champions event in Shanghai, his playing partner Patrick Reed hasn’t exactly been enjoying himself as much.
It wasn’t the worst of rounds for the American who shot one under par for the round but his 10th hole bogey sparked an outburst sure to land the golfer in a spot of bother with the powers-that-be of the PGA Tour.
A second missed putt on the 10th green prompted Reed to lambast himself saying, “nice f****** three-putt, you f****** f****t.”
There’s no place for that language in any sport so Reed will definitely face a heavy fine.
The golfer has since apologised.
I’m sorry for using offensive language today in China. My passion to play well got the best of me and my word choice was unacceptable.
