Tiger Woods deserves a lot of criticism. Just not this time.
He’s apparently not a very nice man, either on or off the golf course, but now’s not the time to rake over his past indiscretions.
Instead we’re going to praise the former world number one for what can only be described as a fantastic gesture to a young fan who was a victim of bullying because of a stutter.
Ladies golfer Sophie Gustafson revaled the story after she was contacted by the mother of a boy, called Dillon, who told the Swede that her son had tried to take his own life last month by jumping out of a window.
Gustafson, who herself has suffered with a stammer, got in touch with Woods, who wrote a touching letter to the boy describing his own teenage years of trying to fit in and cope with his own speech problems.
It’s a wonderful selfless act and it’s probably the best thing he’s done in years.

Thanks so much @TigerWoods for sending my friend Dillon a letter. He got so happy! It's being framed and hanged. #class
