‘My name is Donal Óg Cusack. I’m a hurler, an engineer, a Corkman, and I’m gay’
So begins the excellent promo for the Óg Cusack-fronted documentary, Coming out of the Curve. The film will be aired on RTE One next Monday from 9:30pm and features the former Rebels goalkeeper as he travels the world, and Ireland, to explore people’s feelings, and conceptions, on homosexuality.
Óg Cusack is featured, in the promo, speaking to pro and anti-gay groups in New York and Russia, while interviewing Irish men and women on their experiences with coming out and living in the 21st century as a gay person.
