Waterford have made a bold, brave choice for their All-Ireland final suits

Almost as good as Austin Gleeson's championship haircut

Waterford have trumped Galway when it comes to All-Ireland final suits.

On Sunday, barring a draw, Galway or Waterford will end their long wait for All-Ireland glory. The Liam MacCarthy will either be wrapped in the blue and white ribbons of The Déise or the maroon and white of The Tribesmen.

Both teams travelled up to Dublin on Friday and, win or lose, both will stay on until Monday morning.

Both panels will have their official county gear but they have also been sorted with casual wear and suits, for the post-match reception, by local tailors and clothing companies.

We have already highlighted what Joe Canning [below] and his Galway teammates will be wearing on the big weekend but the Waterford boys were sorted out a little closer to the game.

Fitzgerald Meanswear have kitted out he Waterford hurlers with a grey suit that features some nice accents and a bold splash of colour in the light blue tie.

Austin Gleeson sported the suit earlier this week and it looks so good that one would be forgiven for missing the Waterford talisman’s fresh championship haircut.

Galway look to be playing it safe but, we must say, Waterford have edged it.

A small victory ahead of a match that will be contested fiercely for the greatest prize of all.

58 years or 29 years. On Sunday, the clock will be re-set for county and for one lucky set of supporters.
