WATCH: Lee Chin called ‘Lee Wexford’ live on Canadian TV as hurler gets to grip with his Toughest Trade

For an amateur he dealt with this very professionally

Diplomatic to a fault, Lee decided it was best to let it slide.

There is much excitement in the GAA and wider sporting communities this week about the Toughest Trade, with the first episode going out on RTÉ 2 this Wednesday night.

This year, Donegal star Michael Murphy will try his hand at rugby with French Top 14 side Clermont Auvergne, with Welsh legend Shane Williams togging out with Murphy’s club, Glenswilly and getting a taste for the rough and tumble of football in Donegal.

Later in the series, meanwhile, Wexford’s Lee Chin will be trading a hurl and a sliotar for a hockey stick and puck with the Vancouver Canucks, with retired ice-hockey player Alex Auld set for a spell with Faythe Harriers in return.

Chin took advantage of the break in the NHL schedule to go over to the Canucks and during coverage of their clash with the San José Sharks at the weekend, he was interviewed live by Scott Oake on CBC Sports’ Hockey Night in Canada.

The interview didn’t get off to the best start when Oake got Chin’s name hilariously wrong, but the Wexford man was politeness personified and ended up giving an interesting insight into how he’s been finding the experience.

This is interesting about a wexford hurler in the NHL
