We don’t blame this hardcore Dublin supporter for feeling a little bit queasy ahead of #TheToughest challenge.
Andy O’Faolain ditched his sky blue and navy for the green and gold of the Kingdom as he was tasked with giving up his All-Ireland final ticket all in the name of his beloved club.
Andy, from Stillorgan, turned into a Kerryman for the afternoon when he took to Dublin’s Merry Ploughboy to cheer for the opposition in a pub full of Dubs.
AIB pledged €5,000 for Andy’s club, Na Gaeil Óga, if he completed the task and he did so with aplomb as he hid his true emotions for 70 minutes, shouting for Dublin players to be sent off, roaring support for Colm Cooper and seriously struggling to get served at the bar.
He did a great job in fooling the Dublin fans as Jim Gavin’s side went on to wrestle back the Sam Maguire from Kerry’s grasp and he could finally celebrate when GAA legend Dessie Farrell revealed the ruse at full-time.
He could have worked a little harder on his accent though.
AIB are proud to be Backing Club and County for the first time this season. The sponsorship incorporates both the GAA Club Championships and the GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Championships.
