Peak Davy Fitzgerald here.
It has been a high tempered affair at Nowlan Park.
At half-time, there is just four points separating the sides but the overall story of the first half have been the antics of the Wexford manager.
The controversy unfolded after 21 minutes when Tipperary scored their second goal of the game.
Wexford defender James Breen lost possession when attempting to clear his lines.
Tipperary turned over the ball and hit the back of the net thanks to a very good finish from Noel McGrath.
Fitzgerald was adamant that Breen was fouled in the process and he certainly made his feelings known to the referee and the Tipperary players.
Fitzgerald went straight onto the pitch to confront the referee and all of a sudden he was squaring up to the Tipp players.
Crazy.
Check out footage of the controversy below.
The atmosphere went up about 10 notches due do that incident and Wexford fought back to a degree to be only behind by four points at the break.
It will be interesting to see if the first half antics can rile up the Wexford players to produce a comeback in the second half.
