There is no suggestion that Brian Cody is going anywhere anytime soon, with the James Stephens man in a job for life if he so desires, but in some parallel universe, perhaps Pellegrini could be a contender for the Kilkenny job.
We're sure Pellegrini would only love to be earning only mileage expenses, although he may be confused as to why he can't just go out and buy Seamus Callanan or Austin Gleeson if he likes the look of them.
Imagine the entertainment if he was asked about his excessive spending on a county team by the hardy boys who make up the club delegates in Kilkenny too.
And we're sure he would only love a big summer break of 6-7 weeks with his players when there is no matches to get them sharp for Championship.
It may have just been a simple tourist trip, but perhaps, just perhaps, it was something more.
