Kilkenny legend gets sweary with off-target shooting

Ever wonder how sportspeople from other codes would fair with a size five O’Neills or a rugby ball. Well the good folks behind the Topaz Cash for Clubs initiative decided that they would test out the various skills of Henry Shefflin, Fiona Coughlan, Dermot Earley and Alan Quinlan in a multi-discipline quiz format with some pretty surprising results.

We would have banked on the 10-time All-Ireland winner taking home the honour and the glory once again, but he was somewhat upstaged by his Gaelic football colleague Dermot Earley.

In the six challenges where the competitors had to answer a question and then strike either a football, rugby ball or sliothar at goalposts, the former Kildare man managed to hit the target every time.

His accuracy was in stark contrast to that of Shefflin,who almost turned the air blue when one of his efforts was well off target.
