After 19 years of service, John  Miskella finally tasted county succes with his club

They don’t call the AIB Club Championship #TheToughest for nothing. Becoming top dog in your county is a fierce battle and in a place like Cork, festooned as it is with clubs, it is even hardder.

Last month Ballincollig claimed the Cork senior football title, the first time they had achieved the feat in their 127 year history. John Miskella, who played for the club for 19 years, described the moment post-match as his ‘best sporting feeling’.

In this video, Miskella, along with some who have served the club even longer than the 36-yearold, reflect on what it means to the club to finally reach the summit.

It is typically stirring stuff.
