The big day

Conan Doherty

From grass roots to the biggest stage.

Kerry and Dublin’s finest all started at a young age with their local clubs. Kicking ball with their friends and dreaming of the third Sunday in September on those long summer evenings.

However It wasn’t just the dream of the players.

At Croke Park for the All-Ireland final, club men and women spoke about how much pride they feel in seeing their community represented in the Kerry and Dublin county jerseys.

Coaches, friends and team-mates of the players link the biggest day on the GAA calendar right back to where it all began. With their clubs.
