Some hurling.
Na Piarsaigh ran bloody riot in the first half of their All-Ireland final with Cushendall and they had Adrian Breen and Kevin Downes leading the way.
The two Limerick attackers’ control, precision and accuracy for the Munster champions’ two goals were simply things of sheer beauty.
Breen got the good times rolling for Na Piarsaigh inside the opening 30 seconds when he got to the sliotar brilliantly with a reach of his hurl before improvising and sliding it home on the half volley.
Downes plucked his from the sky with his hurl, burst inside and rattled the bottom corner effortlessly.
Two goals befitting of Croke Park. Two goals befitting of All-Ireland champions.
They set the platform as Na Piarsaigh went on to clinch glory, winning 2-25 to 2-14.
Here’s that Breen goal again. Just because.
