Andy Moran and Mayo have received huge plaudits, not just for their doggedness in the All-Ireland win over Kerry, but for their fearlessness in attack.
Despite a heap of wides from two-point attempts, Mayo ploughed on with their tactics, and it reaped huge dividends.
Their star men, notably Ryan O'Donoghue and Kobe McDonald, looked eager to take on the man in front of them, which led to their crucial second-half goal and the team's game-sealing point with barely ten seconds left.
A resurfaced clip, showing Andy Moran giving a training workshop to local coaches, shows exactly why his Mayo side didn't go into their shells on the biggest stage of all. His mantra of 'let them make mistakes' is clearly a huge part of his style and has been bet into his men.
In the video we see an animated and passionate Moran practically shouting at the onlooking students, nearly pleading with them to 'let the boys play'.
He says: "You've got to encourage them to do it and let them make the mistake.
"Because if we don't let them make the mistake lads, honestly..... Because then we'll be up in Croke Park saying 'why don't we produce a Clifford, or why don't we produce this or why don't we produce that?'
"We have to let them play and we have to encourage them to play."
